Duluth, MN. – The St. Scholastica Men's and Women's Soccer teams will be at home this weekend, hosting the Scots from Macalester College. The Women's team will play first at 1 p.m., while the men's game is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. where both games will be held at Kenny Harkins Field. 

 

The Women's team is coming off a 1-1 tie in their last game against Bethany Lutheran College, while the Men's squad fell in its last game on Tuesday in an eventful match to the Falcons of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, by a score of 6-4.

Women's Soccer Saints to Watch

• Kaitlyn Sautter (Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) scored her third goal of the season and the lone goal for the Saints in the 1-1 tie against Bethany Lutheran. 

• Senior goalkeeper Gracie Meagher (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) recorded seven saves in her last appearance against the Vikings last Sunday. 

 

Men's Soccer Saints to Watch

• Gabriel Marchesoni (Surrey, BC, CA) added to his goal total for the season in the Saints' last match, scoring twice on Tuesday against the Falcons. Marchesoni has a team-leading eight goals this season. 

• Lanji Atanga (Blaine, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) scored his second goal of the season goal for the Saints in his last appearance on Tuesday. 

• Ted Barker (Huntingdon, England) notched his first goal of the season on Tuesday, as the Saints scored a season-high four goals against the Falcons.

The Scots' currently hold a record of 3-4-3, while going 1-2-2 in conference play this season. Saturday's matchup will be the 18th time these squads have squared off, with the Scots holding the advantage all-time with a record of 12-3-2 in those contests.

The Scots are currently ranked #4 in the Region IX rankings, as they hold the fourth best offense in the MIAC, while also holding its opponents to the fifth fewest goals. Saturday's match will be the 21st all-time between CSS and Macalester, with Macalester holding a 13-5-2 advantage in those games.
