How it Happened
Both teams traded baskets early, with St. Scholastica getting help from Noah Winesett (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) scoring a pair of buckets, and Jeff Moore (Richfield, Minn./Richfield HS) and Andre Crockett Jr. (Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS (Rochester Community College)), who each scored their first points of the night.
Midway through the first half, trailing by six, Aaron Keykal (Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) and Jacquez Overstreet (Appleton, Wis./Oshkosh West (Marian University)) both scored on layups, as the Royals still held an 18-14 lead.
After Koy Nelson (Port Wing, Wis./South Shore HS) and Luke Raymond (Hudson, Wis./Concordia Academy (UW-River Falls)) both scored for the Saints, Overstreet scored twice for CSS, helping keep the deficit to just four points.

The Saints got its first points of the second half from Kevin Thomas (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS), who hit his first jumper from beyond-the-arc.

Winesett and Thomas would both hit their second three-pointers of the game, trimming the deficit to six points.
Keykal would score once again on a layup, assisted by Nelson, and Nelson would later hit a key three-pointer, as the Royals still clung to a 52-47 lead over the Saints.
After a Royals layup that gave them a 56-47 lead, the Saints would go on a 8-2 run, highlighted with layups from Tanner Thomson (Woodbury, Minn./Stillwater HS) and Raymond, followed by a pair of three-pointers from Crockett Jr.
A layup from Moore and a Overstreet shot from beyond-the-arc gave CSS a four-point lead over Bethel with just three minutes to play.
Thomson got a layup to fall with 44 seconds to play, and after a defensive stop, the Saints were put on the free throw line to ice the game, and were successful. The Saints were able to come away with a 70-64 victory over the Royals.
