WAVERLY, Iowa – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team traveled to Waverly, Iowa to take on Wartburg College. Wartburg scored two goals in the match's first 25 minutes, and snagged another in the second half, to defeat CSS today by a score of 3-0.
How it Happened
Wartburg got its first goal of the contest in the 11th minute to take an early 1-0 lead.
15 minutes later, Wartburg snagged its second goal of the half, taking a 2-0 lead into the half.
The Saints had a handful of opportunities to try to chip into Wartburg's lead, but the Knights were able to find the back of the net in the 56th minute, taking a 3-0 lead over CSS.
The Saints tried to make a late push in the second half, but the deficit was too much to come back from, as Wartburg defeated CSS by a score of 3-0.

The Saints (0-2-0) will hit the pitch next on Friday, where they will travel to De Pere, Wisconsin, to take on St. Norbert College. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
