NORTHFIELD, Minn. — The St. Scholastica women's soccer team traveled to Northfield this afternoon, taking on one of conference rivals in the Oles from St. Olaf. After the Oles took a 1-0 lead late into the match, the Saints were able to tie the game, as the game resulted in a draw.
How it Happened
After the game stayed relatively quiet in the first half, St. Olaf broke the score in the 23rd minute, taking a 1-0 lead.
Gracie Meagher (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) made some key saves in today's match, especially in the second half, as the Saints tried to even this game.
In the 72nd minute, CSS' prayers were answered when Abigail Shrode (Hamilton, Mich./Hamilton HS) was able to find the back of the net, on an assist by Tenley Voth (Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS).
Both teams were unable to notch a goal, as today's match ended in a 1-1 draw.
