DUBUQUE, Iowa – Women's volleyball finished their last final two games in Dubuque, Iowa at the Loras Invite this morning. Unfortunately, the ladies wouldn't be able to come away with a win this weekend as they lost 0-3 in both matches.Â
Game One
The Saints fell 11-25 in the opening set against Loras College, 20-25 in set two and 19-25 in the final set.
Leading the Saints offense was
Ava Swangstue (Grand Forks, N.D./Red River HS) who finished with seven kills. Delaney Shaaeffer and
Emily Slettedahl (Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) had two blocks.
Grace Myhre (Aberdeen, S.D./Aberdeen Central HS) totaled 15 assists and added eight digs in the loss.Â
Game Two
Similar to their contest with the Duhawks, Monmouth College would defeat CSS in three sets. The Saints nearly took set one, but fell 25-23, set two saw a score of 25-18, and set three saw the Fighting Scots take it 25-17.
Having a season-high of ten kills was Schaffer, followed by Swangtue's 9 kills. Myhre again led with 18 assists,
Natalie Yackley (New Ulm, Minn./New Ulm HS) recorded five.
Olivia Bauer (Faribault, Minn./Faribault HS) recorded an impressive 21 digs, white first years
Bryn Ziegler (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS) had nine and
Riley Panger (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) tabbed eight kills on the day.
