DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica fell in its first game of the season and the BSN Classic this afternoon at Kenny Harkins Field. The Cowgirls from Hardin-Simmons were able to shut down the Saints' offense today, defeating CSS by a score of 8-0.
How it Happened
Early in the match, in the 10th minute, Hardin-Simmons struck first, giving itself a 1-0 lead over the Saints.
Near the halfway mark of the match, the Cowgirls got its second goal, in the 38th minute, to take a 2-0 lead into halftime over CSS.
Hardin-Simmons jumped out of the half in a fast way, adding two more goals onto its lead in the 51st and 61st minute, to extend its lead to 4-0.
In the back half of the match, the Cowgirls weren't done, adding four more goals in the last 15 minutes as Hardin-Simmons walked away victorious, defeating CSS by a score of 8-0 today.

The Saints (0-1-0) will continue the BSN Classic on Sunday, where they will host the twenty-fifth ranked University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 am.
