NORTHFIELD, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's hockey team traveled to Northfield, Minn, for game two of their series with St. Olaf College. The Saints scored late in the third, but ultimately the Oles would grab the 4-2 victory on Friday. St. Olaf would carry that momentum into Saturday's game as they held the Saints scoreless, and took the series sweep with a 5-0 victory.

How it Happened
St. Olaf would get on the scoreboard first in tonight's contest, scoring at 15:02. Minutes later the Saints would get the advantage by an Oles penalty. Lisa LaRoche (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS), Abby Pohlkamp (Baxter, Minn./Brainerd HS), and Taylor Murray (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) would get shots in, but they all resulted in saves. After a missed power-play, the Oles would retaliate by adding another goal with 5:15 remaining. CSS would lead in shots on goal (7) and faceoffs won (8) in the period but would head into the locker room down by two scores.

In the second, a holding penalty on the Saints, would give St. Olaf an opportunity to add another goal at 10:57. Four minutes remaining, Kenzie Cole (Cohasset, Minn./Grand Rapids HS) would make the save, but the Oles would fire a shot in and score, taking the 4-0 lead. Late in the second, CSS would once again have a power-play chance to add some points to the board. The Saints would get six opportunities, two shots coming from Allie Bussey (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) and Lauryn Hull (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly HS), but once again came up short.

Into the final period, the Saints would defend the Oles power-play chance to limit any more goals. t 12:56, the Oles would score their fifth and final goal of the night. A last-minute power-play would once again give the Saints some shots, five to be exact, but the Saints wouldn't be able to capitalize on any of their three power-play chances tonight.

Goaltending
Kenzie Cole (Cohasset, Minn./Grand Rapids HS) had 28 saves on the night for her team, earning a .848 save percentage, while Hannah Fritz recorded her third collegiate shutout for the Oles.
