Duluth, Minn. (csssaints.com) -- On Tuesday afternoon, St. Scholastica's women's soccer ended their matchup against the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse with a 4-0 loss.
How it Happened
The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse remained in possession of the ball for the entirety of the first half forcing the Saints to put up some tough defense. CSS was holding tough on defense until the 30th minute of the game when UWL put in their first goal of the day. Before the first half had finished UWL had put the Saints in a bit of a hole by scoring two more goals sending them into halftime down 3-0. Despite their efforts, St. Scholastica wasn't able to put up any points in either half. Before time ran out, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse put one more point up on the board handing the Saints a 4-0 loss.
Goalkeeper Gracie Meagher (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) had five saves throughout the game for CSS.
