csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Duluth Indoor Sports Center on Friday with an 8-1 loss to St. Catherine University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) action.
Doubles
The Wildcats (11-3, 8-2 MIAC) swept all three doubles matches.
Singles
Martina Garcia (Cuenca, Ecuador/Catalinas HS (Eastern Florida State College)) was the lone winner for the Saints on the day, winning at the No. 3 spot by scores of 6-4, 6-1. Garcia has won three straight matches and is 11-2 on the season.
Madilyn Jankila (Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert HS) battled her opponent to a third set superbreaker, but came up just short, falling 3-6, 6-3, (10-6).

The Saints (8-7, 4-5 MIAC) close out the regular season tomorrow (Saturday) when they travel to face Bethel University. Action is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the Rogers Tennis Center.
