How it Happened
Lexi Imdieke (Andover, MN/Andover High School) got the scoring going for the Saints today, as the freshman got her first collegiate points in the opening minutes.

Jackie Johnson (Bemidji, MN/Bemidji High School) and Katie Vaske (Woodbury, MN/Woodbury High School (Hamline University)) both hit three-pointers to give CSS a one-point lead over the Eagles. After a quick response by the Eagles, Imdieke hit her first three-pointer of the game to make it a 11-9 Saints lead.

After the Eagles tied the game at 11-11. Imdieke responded with a three-pointer of her own, followed by a layup by Liz Frase (Proctor, Minn./Proctor HS (Concordia-Moorhead)) to help the Saints reclaim its lead.

The Saints held a two-point lead over the Eagles into heading the second quarter and Frase helped the Saints keep its lead in the second quarter as she made a three-pointer and a layup at the end of the quarter to take a 29-26 over the Eagles into halftime.

Frase picked up right where she left off in the early seconds of the third quarter, hitting a three-pointer and getting the lead back while doing so.

Northwestern outscored the Saints in the third quarter 18-5, taking a 10-point lead into the fourth quarter.

Imdieke hit another three and Vaske converted a layup to cut the Eagles' lead down to eight points.
