How it Happened
The Yellowjackets (12-5-2) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period until Michael Talbot (Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS (Minot-NAHL)) scored on the power-play with 2:30 remaining to make it 2-1 at the first intermission. Arkhip Ledenkov (Polotsk, Belarus/Ostroshitsko-Gorodokskaya (New York Aviators-USPHL)) and Sam Fuss (Edina, Minn./Edina HS (Minot-NAHL)) had the assists.

St. Scholastica knotted things up with another power-play goal midway through the second period as Tyler Hinterser (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville HS (Brookings-NAHL)) found the net. Danylo Sukhonos (Kharkiv, Ukraine/Brovary Professional Lyceum (New York Aviators-USPHL)) was credited with the assist. The Saints took their first lead of the night with less than four minutes left in the period on an Arkhip Ledenkov (Polotsk, Belarus/Ostroshitsko-Gorodokskaya (New York Aviators-USPHL)) goal to make it 3-2 CSS at the second intermission. Filimon Ledenkov (Polotsk, Belarus/Ostroshitsko-Gorodokskaya (New York Aviators-USPHL)) and Hinterser had the assists.

Moments after the Saints killed off a power-play to start the third period, Superior tied the game with a 4-on-4 goal and then two minutes later took a 4-3 lead with both teams at full strength. With the St. Scholastica net empty late, the Saints put a pair of shots on goal, but were denied as UWS hung on for the 4-3 victory.
