csssaints.com) – The reigning two-time Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) champion and 18
th-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College spoiled the St. Scholastica men's soccer team's debut in the league by handing the Saints a 6-1 setback on Wednesday at Saints Field.
How It Happened
The Gusties (4-2-0, 1-0-0 MIAC) scored three goals in each half with goals in the first half coming in the 13
th, 24
th and 26
th minutes.
Jordan Finneran (Newmarket, England/Cambridge Regional College) scored his first goal of the season in the 25
th minute to cut the margin to 2-1, until Gustavus scored a minute later.
Chris Galley (Kent, England/Rivington & Blackrod HS) assisted Finneran's goal.
The second half was all Gusties as they scored a pair of goals in the first nine minutes and then added another late to make the final 6-1.
