Adrian is named to the Academic All-District Football Team for the first time in his career. He is the first wide receiver since Cory Gebhard in 2013 to be named and marks the third time in the last four years a Saint has earned Academic All-District accolades.
Adrian, a Biology major, was a First Team All-UMAC selection in 2019 after setting a single-season program record with 114 receptions. He led NCAA Division III with 11.4 receptions per game and set a single-season program with 968 reception yards. Adrian already holds the program record for career receptions with 145. Adrian carries a 3.83 grade-point-average.
Burns is named to the Academic All-District Volleyball Team for the first time in her career. Burns becomes the second Saint in the last three years to earn Academic All-District Distinction.
Burns, a Biochemistry (Pre-Med) major, carries a 4.0 grade-point-average. Burns received Honorable Mention All-UMAC laurels this spring and was a Second Team All-Conference choice in 2019. She averaged career highs in kills/set (2.39) and points per set (2.79) this spring. Burns has recorded 531 kills and 150 blocks in her time as a Saint.
Adrian and Burns are now eligible for the Academic All-America Team ballot, where All-America honorees will be selected in early July.
The All-Academic Teams, which are selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
The teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The teams include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA participants.
St. Scholastica is included in District 6 and includes NCAA Division III institutions from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.
