Women’s Track & Field Sits Second at UMAC Championships

DAY ONE RESULTS

MORRIS, Minn. (csssaints.com) – After the first day of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Outdoor Championships, the St. Scholastica women's track & field team is second after capturing two event titles on Friday.

Event Champions
Lexi Erickson (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS (St. Catherine)) became the first Saint since 2015 to win the 400m hurdles title with a time of 1:10.39.
 
Dayelise Davidson (Coleraine, Minn./Greenway HS) also won the program's first outdoor pole vault title since 2015, by clearing 9'6.25" (2.90m).
 
Other Top Running Performances
Lili Tapper (Lindstrom, Minn./Irondale HS) was runner-up in the 800m run with a personal-best time of 2:25.74. Kate Chromy (New Prague, Minn./New Prague HS) was fourth in that event with a personal-best time of 2:29.03.
 
The 4x800m relay team of Annika Voss (Duluth, Minn./Proctor HS), Chromy, Erickson and Tapper was second with a time of 10:16.16.
 
Davidson finished fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 28.03. Megan Bechthold (Duluth, Minn./Lakeview Christian Academy) was fifth in that event at 28.09.
 
Other Top Jumping/Pole Vault Performances
Melissa Geisenhof (Little Falls, Minn./Little Falls HS) cleared the same height as the champion Davidson in the pole vault at 9'6.25" (2.90m), but accumulated more attempts to place second. That was a personal-best height for Geisenhof.
 
Top Throwing Performance
Mikayla Solberg (Elk Mound, Wis./Elk Mound HS) finished fourth in the hammer throw with a personal-best toss of 137'11" (42.04m).
