DULUTH, Minn. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's track & field team won three events and set numerous personal-bests on Thursday at the Bulldog Open, hosted by the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Event Winners
Lexi Erickson (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS (St. Catherine)) won high jump, clearing 4'11.5" (1.51m).
Lexi Weisser (St. Joseph, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral HS) won the triple jump with an outdoor personal-best mark of 32'5.75" (9.90m).
Megan Bechthold (Duluth, Minn./Lakeview Christian Academy) defeated Erickson in the 400m dash with a season-best time of 1:03.60. Erickson's time was 1:04.63, also an outdoor personal-best.
Other Top Running Performances
Lili Tapper (Lindstrom, Minn./Irondale HS) placed third in the 1500m run with a time of 5:18.72.
Liana Blomgren (Mountain Lake, Minn./Mountain Lake HS) was fifth in a personal-best time of 5:21.60.
Dayelise Davidson (Coleraine, Minn./Greenway HS) finished third in the 100m dash, posting a time of 13.35.
Other Top Jumping/Pole Vault Performances
Davidson was also third in the pole vault, clearing 9'6.25" (2.90m).
Top Throwing Performances
Lily Beneke (Green Isle, Minn./Sibley East HS) was third in the hammer throw with a season-best toss of 122'5.75" (37.33m).
Anna Becker (Buffalo, Minn./Maple Lake HS) was third in the shot put with a personal-best outdoor mark of 39'1.25" (11.92m). Becker was also third in this discus toss with a mark of 98'8.75" (30.09m).

The Saints will compete at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Outdoor Championships beginning next Friday in Morris, Minnesota.
