Hannah Johnson (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors HS) were named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Players of the Week over the last couple of days.
Samuel Eben Ebai Jr. (Yaounde, Cameroon/P.S.S. Mankon) was the UMAC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week. Eben Ebai Jr. was part of three program records on Saturday at the UW-Whitewater Invitational. Eben Ebai Jr. broke program records in the 100m and 200m dashes individually and also anchored the program record 4x100m relay team. He ran a record time of 10.84 in the 100m and 22.52 in the 200m. The 4x100m time was 42.71. The 100m dash and 4x100m relay records stood for 12 years, while the 200m record stood since 2015.
Taylor Tran (Northridge, Calif./Granada Hills Charter HS) is the UMAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Tran scored his first collegiate goal from his defender position in Thursday's win at the University of Northwestern (Minn.). Tran has led a defense this season that has allowed only four total shots on goal in three games.
Hannah Johnson (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors HS) was the UMAC Women's Golf Player of the Week. Johnson was toward the top of the leaderboard for much of the Take Back The Night Challenge, hosted by Millikin University (Ill.) over the weekend. Johnson led the Saints with a season-best 80 in Saturday's first round and then topped that with a 74 in Sunday's second round to finish fourth in the tournament. That marked her 16
th career top-five finish which is tied for the third-most all time in program history.
