csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team took care of Concordia College-Moorhead 7-2 in non-conference play on Sunday at the Courts Plus Community Fitness.
Doubles
For the second time in the last three matches, the Saints swept all three doubles matches. CSS won all three by identical 8-4 margins.
The No. 1 team of
Elliot Schneider (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and
Jack Kearney (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS), the No. 2 tandem of
Jake Jolowsky (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) and
Reece Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and the No. 3 duo of
Bradley Golant (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS (Hearst-NOJHL)) and
Duke Nguyen (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy and Summit School) were all victorious.
Singles
Schneider remained perfect at the No. 1 spot, winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Jolowsky dropped only two games at the No. 3 spot, winning 6-1, 6-1.
Giacomo Lucchesi (Lima, Peru/Santa Maria Marianistas) came out on top at the No. 4 position by scores of 6-2, 7-5. Golant was the final singles winner at the No. 5 spot by scores of 6-2, 6-2.
