csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team got three goals from three different scorers in Saturday's 3-0 victory at Martin Luther College in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play.
How It Happened
The Saints got on the board in the 17
th minute as
Keegan Chastey (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS) scored on a diving header.
Jordan Finneran (Newmarket, England/Cambridge Regional College) had the assist. That was the lone goal of the first half with the Saints holding a 14-0 advantage in shots.
CSS extended the lead to 2-0 on a
Finigan Huffington (Georgetown, Cayman Islands/John Gray HS) goal in the 56
th minute.
Miki Lumsden (Kingston, Jamaica/Kingston College (Lake Superior College)) was credited with the assist. Finneran then made it 3-0 less than four minutes later with an assist from Chastey.
Top Performers
Liam Lothian (Redditch, England/RSA Academy Arrow Vale) made just one stop to earn the shutout in his first collegiate start.
Chastey and Finneran each had a goal and an assist.
