MANKATO, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's and women's track & field teams sent a few individuals down to compete at Chuck Peterson Open on Saturday, hosted by Minnesota State University.
 
Top Performers
Fresh off a strong cross country season, Calvin Boone (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Highland Park HS) competed in the 5000m run and placed runner up in the event, placing second with a time of 15:25.26.
 
Grant Steger (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS) was 10^th in the shot put with a personal-best mark of 41'1.5" (12.53m). He also had a personal-best toss in the weight throw of 35'4" (10.77m).
 
Lily Beneke (Green Isle, Minn./Sibley East HS) was the only women's competitor and she placed 12^th in the weight throw with a mark of 37'10" (11.53m) and 14^th in the shot put with a mark of 31'11.25" (9.73m).
