ST. PAUL (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's hockey team got a pair of goals from Nathan Adrian (Roseau, Minn./Roseau HS (Minnesota Wilderness-NAHL)) and three assists each from Danylo Sukhonos (Kharkiv, Ukraine/Brovary Professional Lyceum (New York Aviators-USPHL)) and Bryce Johnson (Roseau, Minn./Roseau HS (Thief River Falls-SIJHL)) in a 4-0 victory over Hamline University Friday night in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) action.
 
How it Happened
Adrian put his first puck in the net less than three minutes into to the game to make it 1-0. Johnson had his first assist. Then with 4:15 remaining in the first period, Adrian added his second goal with Johnson and Sukhonos on the assists.
 
CSS made it 3-0 in the second period as Braeden Holcomb (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids HS) scored his first collegiate goal one minutes and 28 seconds into the period. Sukhonos and Will Fisher (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Boston Jr. Rangers-EHL)) had the assists.
 
The Saints added one more with six minutes to go in the third period as Brodie Girod (Clavet, Saskatchewan/Clavet HS (Nipawin-SJHL)) recorded his second goal of the season with assists from Sukhonos and Johnson to make the final 4-0.
 
Goaltending
Jack Bostedt (Janesville, Wis./Janesville Craig HS (Minnesota Mullets-USPHL)) recorded 33 saves to record his first collegiate shutout. Kevin Lake had 22 saves for the Pipers
