-Most power-play goals allowed since 2019

MINNEAPOLIS (csssaints.com) – Fifth-ranked Augsburg University scored three power-play goals in the second period and then added a fourth in the third period to remain undefeated and hand the St. Scholastica men's hockey team a 4-0 loss Saturday night in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) play.

How it Happened
After a scoreless first period, which saw the Auggies (6-0-0, 2-0-0 MIAC) have a slight edge in shots 12-10, Augsburg took advantage of CSS penalties in the second part of the second period. The Saints would be called for four penalties in the final 11 minutes of the period and Augsburg scored on three of those power-plays to make it 3-0 at the second intermission.

CSS then started the third period having to kill off a five-minute major, but Augsburg would get a goal on that to make it 4-0. The Saints accumulated 52 penalty minutes in the final two periods and were outshot 24-12 during that span in the defeat.

Goaltending
Jack Bostedt (Janesville, Wis./Janesville Craig HS (Minnesota Mullets-USPHL)) made 32 saves for the Saints, while Samuel Vyletelka had 22 saves for the Auggies
