DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team hosted the Knights of Carleton College Saturday on Saints Field in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) matchup. The Saints jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but Carleton converted three penalties in the second half to rally for 4-3 victory.

How it Happened
The Saints stuck the scoreboard early in the first half with a goal from Clemente Infante (Santiago, Chile/Saint Georges College (Oakland City)) assisted by Finigan Huffington (Georgetown, Cayman Islands/John Gray HS) six minutes into the game. It wouldn't take CSS long to add another goal to their lead. This time it was a goal by Nolan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) assisted by Akeem Robotham (Kingston, Jamaica/St. George's College (Johnson County CC)) which gave the saints a 2-0 lead only 12 minutes into the game.

Carleton (10-3-2, 7-2 MIAC) responded with a goal of their own in the 58th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1. Shortly thereafter, CSS would get a player sent off due to a second yellow card, meaning they played the rest of the game with just 10 players. However in the 69th minute, the Saints scored another goal by Jordan Finneran (Newmarket, England/Cambridge Regional College) assisted by Zach Madill (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and Infante to make it 3-1

Carleton caught a break and added three more goals on penalty kicks in the 70th, 75th, and 86th minutes to take a 4-3 lead. The Saints tried to even the score, but fell in this contest 4-3.
