csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team suffered three, three-set singles match losses in an 8-1 dual defeat to Macalester College on Saturday.
Singles:

Elliot Schneider (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) would lose in a super-breaker at the No. 1 spot by scores of 6-7 (2), 6-3, (10-4). In his first action of the season
Serhii Tykhonenko (Kiev, Ukraine/Lyceum #100 "Podil") fell at the No. 2 spot by scores of 7-5, 6-7 (3), (10-6). Junior
Jake Jolowsky (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) also went to a third-set super-breaker at the No. 5 spot and lost by scores of 6-2, 2-6, (10-2).
Doubles:
Schneider and Tykhonenko teamed up to give the Saints their lone win on the day, prevailing 8-2 at the No. 1 spot. Macalester (1-0) earned wins at the other two doubles matches by 8-5 margins.

The Saints (0-2) will be in action in the Northland for the first time next week when they face Concordia College-Moorhead on Saturday in Virginia, Minnesota at the Virginia Indoor Tennis and Pickleball Club.
