Steger and Kling Win in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (csssaints.com) – St. Scholastica track & field sent eight athletes down to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Friday night to compete in the Eagle Open.
 
Steger Sets Another Program Record
Sophomore Ryan Steger (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) won the 800m run breaking his own program record time of 1:52.55. That marked the second straight meet he set the program record in that event. That time also currently ranks 20th in NCAA Division III. The top-22 times make the NCAA Championships in a couple of weeks.
 
Kling Wins 200m
Junior Anika Kling (Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) took first in the 200m dash with a personal-best time of 25.70. That time is the second-fastest in program history in that event. Kling was also runner-up in the 400m dash, posting a time of 58.84.
 
Other Top Performances
Easton Foss (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) placed 11th in the 1,500m run in a personal-best time of 4:06.58.
 
Isaac Boedigheimer (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) was eighth in the 3000m steeplechase, posting a time of 10:08.92.

The Saints will send competitors down to the Gregory Invitational in Naperville, Illinois beginning on Wednesday.
