MORRIS, Minn. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team took care of the University of Minnesota Morris on Thursday by a 9-0 score in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action.
Doubles
The No. 1 team of
Reed Kolles (Otsego, Minn./Rogers HS) and
Connor Croft (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS) won 8-2. That was the same winning score for the No. 2 team of
Rafa Gonzalez (La Libertad, El Salvador/FESA) and
Jack Kearney (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS). The No. 3 duo of
CJ Howard (Becker, Minn./Becker HS) and
Elliot Kazlauskas (New Prague, Minn./New Prague HS) won 8-1.
Singles
Kazlauskas didn't drop a game at the No. 5 spot winning 6-0, 6-0. Croft dropped only one game at the No. 3 position, winning 6-0, 6-1.
Kearney prevailed 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 2 position. Gonzalez won at the No. 1 spot when his opponent retired. Kolles won 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 4 position and Howard was the final winner at the No. 6 spot by scores of 6-1, 6-1.
