FARGO, N.D. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team earned its second win of the season with a 6-3 victory over Concordia College-Moorhead Sunday evening.
 
Doubles
The Saints won two of the three doubles matches. The No. 2 team of Elliot Schneider (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and Jake Jolowsky (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) won 8-6 for their third consecutive win. The No. 3 tandem of Anton Sopin (Saratov, Russia/Gymnasium #8 (Tabor College)) and Jack Kearney (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) were the other winners by an 8-6 score.
 
Singles
Serhii Tykhonenko (Kiev, Ukraine/Lyceum #100 "Podil") bounced back from his first loss of the season with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at the No. 1 spot. Schneider won his fourth straight match at the No. 2 spot by scores of 6-1, 6-3.
 
Rafa Gonzalez (La Libertad, El Salvador/FESA) was victorious at the No. 3 spot 6-0, 6-2 for his third straight win. The final winner was Jolowsky at the No. 6 spot in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.
