DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team took care of the No. 3 seed Bethany Lutheran College 3-0 in Wednesday's Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Tournament Semifinal at Saints Field.

How It Happened
After not scoring in the first half 10 days ago against the Vikings (12-6-1), the Saints struck on offense early in the fifth minute when Malcolm Lumsden (Kingston, Jamaica/Kingston College (Lake Superior College)) found Nolan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) for a quick goal to put St. Scholastica up 1-0. The Saints added to their lead in the 12th minute when Lumsden and Friday would reverse roles giving both a goal and assist on the day putting the Saints up 2-0 early in the half. The Saints and Vikings would play out the remainder of the half with each team getting their fair share of shots, including both teams striking the frame, but St. Scholastica would go into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

St. Scholastica came out strong offensively with no results until the 62nd minute when Friday would find Ken Pryde (Fareham, England/Barton Peveril College) for the third goal of the day for the Saints. Neither team would be able to capitalize on any offensive opportunities resulting in a 3-0 win for the Saints.

Goalkeeping
Corey Bulheller (Middleton, England/Highfields Secondary School (Bacone)) recorded two saves for his seventh shutout of the season. Moritz Bruns made five saves in the loss for the Vikings
