INDIANOLA, Iowa (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team had its fourth game in the State of Iowa this season and was defeated by Simpson College (Iowa) 5-0 on Sunday.
How it Happened
The surrendered four goals in the second half as the Storm (11-1-0) won going away. The lone goal of the first half was scored in the 27
th minute from 24 yards out. CSS' first shot of the game came in the 42
nd minute.
Simpson made it 2-0 just over a minute into the second half with a breakaway goal. A penalty kick in the 51
st minute made it 3-0. The Storm added another in the 67
th minute and the final in the 78
th minute to make it 5-0.
Corey Bulheller (Middleton, England/Highfields Secondary School (Bacone)) made seven saves in the loss. Jake Potratz had three saves in the win.
