ASHLAND, Wis. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team took a short road trip for an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) matchup against Northland College on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints created many offensive opportunities and were able to capitalize on them by scoring a season-high seven goals on way to a dominant 7-0 win over the LumberJacks.

How It Happened
A very early goal put the Saints up early in the third minute of the game. Alex Dodd (Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) was able to find Malcolm Lumsden (Kingston, Jamaica/Kingston College (Lake Superior College)) for a quick strike to put the Saints on top 1-0. An offensive drought was put to hold with three goals in a matter of four minutes would enhance the St. Scholastica lead even more. Dodd would find the net twice within 72 seconds; the first in the 35th minute and the second in the 36th, putting the Saints up 3-0. Armin Bobaric (Andover, Minn./Andover HS) would add to the lead when he attempted and was successful on a penalty kick that would reach the back of the net to grow the lead to 4-0.

William Francis (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) would be the offensive spark for St. Scholastica in the second half putting two goals through the net in the 73rd and 84th minutes of the game. Francis would also be on the assisting end of a goal to Franco Garcia (Minneapolis, Minn./Hiawatha Collegiate HS) in the 82nd minute. The Saints would be dominate the Northland side of the turf for the majority of the game only allowing three total shots with two of them being on goal.

Top Performers
Dodd and Francis would lead the way for the Saints with two goals and an assist each. Lumsden and Garcia each tallied a goal in the win as well. Corey Bulheller (Middleton, England/Highfields Secondary School (Bacone)) had an easy afternoon in net only needing to make two saves for the shutout for the Saints.
