csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's hockey team was defeated 7-2 by sixth-ranked St. Norbert College (Wis.) on Saturday night in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) action.
How it Happened
In the first period, the Green Knights (12-4-3, 8-3-1 NCHA) would find the back of the net four times, the fourth of which would come off a power play opportunity. Shots on goal at the end of the period finished 10-6 in favor of St. Norbert.
In the second period, St. Norbert scored three times, all of which came on the power play, including two off of a CSS major penalty. But the Saints were able to get a goal of their own in the second, also on the power play.
The Saints would outshoot St. Norbert 10-8 in the third period, but were only able to find the back of the net once, with 7:25 to go in the game to make it 7-2.

Cole Golka (Ardrossan, Alberta/Athol Murray College of Notre Dame (Dryden Ice Dogs-SIJHL)) and
Michael Talbot (Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS (Minot-NAHL)) scored the Saints' two goals.
Brett Radford (Campbell River, British Columbia/Athol Murray College of Notre Dame (Canmore-AJHL)),
Dustin Cordeiro (Kitchener, Ontario/Elliot Lake Secondary School (Cochrane-NOJHL)) and
Riley Bechard (Sedley, Saskatchewan/Athol Murray College of Notre Dame (Woodstock-MJAHL)) were each credited with an assist.
The Saints switched goalies twice in tonight's loss.
Forbes Ploszaj (Scottsdale, Arizona/Gilbert HS (Aberdeen-NAHL)) played the first 12 minutes and 36 seconds of the game but was replaced after letting in four goals.
Zane Steeves (Red Deer, Alberta/Athol Murray College of Notre Dame (100 Mile Wranglers-KIJHL)) played the remainder of the first and the entire second period, but was replaced by Ploszaj after allowing three goals. Ploszaj stopped all eight shots in the third period.
Top Performers for the Green Knights
Keegan Milligan led St. Norbert in scoring with two goals. Brendon Gysbers led in assists with three.
T.J. Black earned the win in net by stopping 19 of the 21 shots he faced.
