DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team defeated Martin Luther College at home 4-1 on Saturday night behind a hat-trick from Malcolm Lumsden (Kingston, Jamaica/Kingston College (Lake Superior College)). 

How it happened
The Knights of Martin Luther scored first on a goal by Joseph Graumann in the 21st minute. Martin Luther had three shots on goal before the Saints could get one off, however, CSS scored on their first shot on a goal by Lumsden 57 seconds after the MLC tally.
 
Weather delayed the game due to lightning in the 31st minute. After the 30-minute delay, Darby Henderson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) gave the St. Scholastica the lead going into the half with a 40th minute goal.
 
Coming out of the half, the Saints started quick with two shots on goal, including a 48th minute goal by Lumsden, his second of the day. He completed the hat trick on a penalty kick in the 76th minute. The Saints out-shot the Knights 9-2.
 
Goalkeeping
St. Scholastica goalie Michael Petoletti (Duluth, Minn./Proctor HS (Lake Superior College)) earned the win, saving one shot. The Knights' Gabriel Plocher took the loss with five saves.

Lumsden had four points for the Saints, including three goals. Graumann had the lone point for Martin Luther
