GREGORY RESULTS | UW-LA CROSSE QUALIFIER RESULTS
DULUTH, Minn. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's and women's track & field teams had a few members competing on Wednesday and Thursday at Last Chance Meets in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Gregory Invite
The Gregory Invitational, hosted by North Central College (Ill.) took place on Wednesday and Thursday.
Frank Cerar (Plainview, Minn./Plainview-Elgin-Millville HS) competed in the decathlon, his first of the spring. He would conclude Thursday with personal-best time of 53.85 in the 400m run. He also set a personal-best mark in the long jump at 19'7" (5.97m).
Also on Wednesday,
Natalie St. Marie (St. Francis, Minn./St. Francis HS) set a new personal-best mark in the hammer throw with a toss of 154'7" (47.13m) to finish sixth overall.
On Thursday,
Aria Plewa (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) placed 12
th in the 1500m run with a season-best time of 4:55.03. In that same event for the men,
Isaac Boedigheimer (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) was 17
th overall with a time of 4:08.03.
Cerar also wrapped up the decathlon on Thursday. He would finish eighth overall with 5,785 points. On Thursday, he tied for first in the pole vault, clearing 12'5.5" (3.80m). Cerar also finished as runner-up in the discus with a toss of 114'9" (34.98m). He also set a personal-best mark in the javelin at 124'8" (37.99m).
UW-La Crosse Qualifier
Senior
Casey Hovland (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) and St. Marie competed in the UW-La Crosse Qualifier on Thursday, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Hovland competed in the 1500m run and placed third with a program record time of 4:35.71, which broke her own record by 10 seconds.
St. Marie's best hammer throw attempt on Thursday was 152'6" (46.48m).

Qualifiers for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin will be announced Saturday morning on NCAA.com. Hovland is ranked eighth in the nation in 5000m and is expected to qualify.
