DULUTH, Minn. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team competed outdoors in Duluth for the first time since 2012 as it took part in the Bulldog Open, hosted by the University of Minnesota Duluth, on Saturday.
Top Performances
Kyle Beck (Glencoe, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake HS) was runner-up in the 100m dash matching a personal-best time of 11.62. Beck was also fifth in the 200m dash, finishing in an outdoor personal-best time of 23.21.
Frank Cerar (Plainview, Minn./Plainview-Elgin-Millville HS) was runner-up in the high jump, clearing an outdoor personal-best height of 5'8.75" (1.75m).
Wyatt Helgeson (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS) was also second in the pole vault, clearing an outdoor personal-best height of 13'5.25" (4.10m).
Patrick Murphy (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 36'9.75" (11.22m). Cerar was fourth in the long jump with an outdoor personal-best leap of 19'4" (5.89m).
Isaac Boedigheimer (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) placed fourth in the 1500m run with a time of 4:06.34.
Joe Guimond (Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) was fifth in the javelin with a throw of 117'1" (35.68m).
Ryan Steger (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) was seventh in the 400m dash, posting a time of 51.50.

The Saints will be back at Malosky Stadium next weekend for the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Outdoor Championships beginning on Friday. CSS and UW-Superior are co-hosting the event.
