DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) - The St. Scholastica men's tennis team earned itself another Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) victory on Friday evening when it swept the North Central University (Minn.) 9-0.
Doubles
All three CSS doubles teams defeated their opponents by a score of 8-0. Elliot Schneider (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and Trace Combs (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) were in the No. 1 spot. In the No. 2 spot was Jake Jolowsky (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) and Connor Croft (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS), followed by Jason Kent (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Altoona (Wis.) HS) and Caleb Thill (Altoona, Wis./Altoona HS) at No. 3.
Singles
The Saints singles matches all fell in favor of the Saints too. Bryce Gadke (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield HS) was in the No. 1 spot and came away with the victory with a 6-0, 6-0 score. Combs played at No. 2 and won 6-1, 6-1. Playing the No. 3 slot was Jack Kearney (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) who beat his Rams opponent 6-1, 6-0.Â
Reed Kolles (Otsego, Minn./Rogers HS) (No. 4), Elliot Kazlauskas (New Prague, Minn./New Prague HS) (No. 5), and Reid Peterson (Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) (No. 6) all came away with wins for the Saints as well, with identical scores of 6-0, 6-0.
