Women’s Tennis Faces Concordia Wisconsin Thursday

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team returns to the courts on Thursday when it travels to face Concordia University Wisconsin.

What You Need to Know about the Saints:
-CSS is coming off a 9-0 victory over Crown College to open Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action on Saturday.
-11 different Saints recorded wins in the victory.
-Sarah Coryell (Golden Valley, Minn./Armstrong HS) earned her second consecutive UMAC Player of the Week award after winning in both singles and doubles play.
-Coryell has won six singles matches in a row and is 10-1 on the year.
-Emma Bartels (Roseville, Minn./Mounds View HS (Minn.-Duluth)) leads the team with seven doubles victories.
-CSS has at least seven singles wins from the No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 spots.
-The No. 3 doubles spot is 8-3 on the year.
-The Saints are 37-26 in singles play and 18-15 in doubles action.
 
What You Need to Know about Concordia Wisconsin:
-The Falcons will enter Thursday's match with a 12-3 overall record.
-They are 2-3 thus far during the spring after going 10-0 in the fall.
-CUW captured the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) regular season title in the fall.
-Concordia has won the NACC title three years in a row.
-The Falcons are led by NACC Player of the Year Ashley Solberg, who is 12-3 at the No. 1 singles spot.
-Solberg has teamed with Bailey Kelly to go 11-3 at the No. 1 doubles spot.
-Concordia is 14-1 at the No. 5 singles spot.
-CUW is 68-22 in singles play and 34-11 in doubles action.
