ROCHESTER, Minn. (csssaints.com) - The St. Scholastica women's tennis team fell to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 8-1 Saturday night. The Eagles have won eight straight in the series.

Doubles
St. Scholastica won one of three doubles matches. Sarah Coryell (Golden Valley, Minn./Armstrong HS) and Emma Bartels (Roseville, Minn./Mounds View HS (Minn.-Duluth)) won against their Eagle opponents 8-5 at the No. 3 spot. The other doubles teams lost by scores of 8-5 and 8-2, respectively.

Singles
The Saints were swept in singles play. Five of the six matches, the Eagles won in straight sets. Katelyn Rice (Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert HS) came close to winning at the No. 2 spot, losing the first set 6-3, winning the second set 6-2, but dropping the third-set super-breaker 10-8.
