RHINELANDER, Wis. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's nordic ski team completed the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) Championships on Sunday with a third-place finish for the second straight day in the 20km freestyle race at the CAVOC Trails.
Top Performances
Tamer Mische-Richter (Bloomington, Minn./John F. Kennedy HS) led the Saints with a 10
th place finish, posting a time of 52:41.
Dan DeLestry (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire Memorial HS) was next in 13
th with a time of 53:25.
Jack Christianson (Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View HS) was right behind DeLestry in 14
th with a time of 53:28 to complete the CSS scoring.
Isaac Wieber (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS) was 20
th and
Ryan Steger (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) was 22
nd to complete the field for the Saints.
Sunday's Team Scores
Northern Michigan University won the day once again with three skiers in the top four. NMU finished with 102 points. Michigan Tech University was second with 96 points. The Huskies boasted the top individual finisher in Gaspard Cuenot, who won with a time of 50:25.
The Saints finished with 70 points in third. The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay was fourth with 58 points and St. Olaf College fifth with 53 points.
Championship Scores
Northern Michigan captured the CCSA team championship for the weekend with 213 points.
