csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica men's tennis team lost to Macalester College 9-0 Saturday afternoon at the Lifetime Fitness Center.
Doubles
CSS was swept in all three doubles matches by scores of 8-2, 8-6 and 8-4. The No. 2 team of
Elliot Schneider (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and
Trace Combs (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) had the closest score of 8-6.
Singles
At No. 1,
Serhii Tykhonenko (Kiev, Ukraine/Lyceum #100 "Podil") lost his first set 6-2, but was able to push the second set into tiebreaker where he ultimately fell.
The rest of the singles matches were also won in straight sets by the Scots

The Saints (0-2) stay on the road for a match against University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in Rochester, Minnesota. Match time is scheduled for Saturday. February 24 at 5 p.m.
