Emil Book Bratbak (Lillehammer, Norway/Lillehammer) led the St. Scholastica men's nordic ski team with an eighth-place finish on Saturday in the 10km classic of the Michigan Tech University Junior National Qualifier.

The Saints had 12 racers competing on Saturday. Book Bratbak led the team with an eighth-place finish in a time of 27:27. Sophomore
Tamer Mische-Richter (Bloomington, Minn./John F. Kennedy HS) was 20
th in a time of 28:48. Right behind him was another freshman in
Hannes Stenstrom (Are, Sweden/Are Skidgymnasium) in 21
st, posting a time of 28:55.

Samuel Olson (Duluth, Minn./Homeschooled) posted a top-30 finish in 27
th with a time of 29:20. Sophomore
Ryan Steger (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) was 33
rd and freshman
Nick Matelich (Bozeman, Mont./Bozeman HS (Montana State)) was 37
th.
Northern Michigan University swept the top five spots, led by Kjetil Baanerud with a time of 26:25.
