What You Need to Know about the Saints:
-The Saints opened their season over the weekend at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Tip-Off Classic.
-CSS dropped both games to projected WIAC leaders UW-Oshkosh and UW-Eau Claire.
-Sophomore
Kaylee Kennedy (Littlefork, Minn./Littlefork-Big Falls HS) led the way averaging 14.5 points per game, including a career-high 21 points against UW-Eau Claire on Saturday.
-Senior
Mariah Pearson (Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) also had pair of nice games, averaging 11.5 per contest, scoring career-highs in both games.
-CSS won nine games at home last season, the most since the 2002-03 season.
-The Saints won two games against Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) opponents last season. The first time that has happened since the 1994-95 season.
What You Need to Know about Saint Mary's:
Overall Record: 1-1, 0-0 MIAC
-Saint Mary's took part in the Saint Benedict Tournament over the weekend to begin its season.
-The Cardinals are coming off an 11-point win over Nebraska Wesleyan University on Saturday.
-SMU dropped its season opener to Simpson College (Iowa) on Friday.
-Saint Mary's will be led by All-American forward Brandi Blattner. Although Blattner did not play in the team's first two games coming off her volleyball season.
-Brooklyn Paulson led the team in scoring the first two games, averaging 13.5 points per game.
-Rachel Kedl averaged 9.5 points and a team-best 7.0 rebounds per contest over the weekend.
-The Cardinals are picked to finish sixth in the MIAC this season.
