DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team scored three goals in each half to defeat Highway 2 rival Northland College 6-0 on Monday at Saints Field.

How it Happened
The first 26 minutes were scoreless until a loose ball in the box found the foot of Juan Ochoa (Chihuahua, Mexico/Prepa Tec), who proceeded to find the net to make it 1-0. Darby Henderson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) was credited with the assist.

Henderson then did it himself a minute later to extend the lead to 2-0. With less than 10 minutes remaining in the first half, Nolan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) would dribble through the middle of the defense, and would hit nice strike off the inside of the right post and in to make the halftime score 3-0. That was Friday's first collegiate goal.

Friday added his second career goal less than seven minutes into the second half, again dribbling through the defense and chipping it past the keeper to make it 4-0. Armin Bobaric (Andover, Minn./Andover HS) made it 5-0 after a beautiful strike in the top right corner of the goal in the 57th minute.

The final goal of the game came from Sam Brickley (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS), his first of the season, in the 85th minute to make the final 6-0. The win also moves the Saints into second place in the conference

Goalkeeping
Michael Petoletti (Duluth, Minn./Proctor HS (Lake Superior College)) made a pair of saves for his first shutout as a Saint. Jonah Evans had 15 saves in the loss for the LumberJacks (1-13-1, 0-10-0 UMAC).
