Dahlberg, Mische-Richter Lead Saints in Classic Races

WOMEN'S 20KM RESULTS | MEN'S 30KM RESULTS | JUNIOR 10KM RESULTS

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica nordic skiers competed in the classic mass start races on Sunday at the U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships at Kincaid Park.
 
Women
Hanna Dahlberg (Ulricehamn, Sweden/Tingsholms School), Nicole Gilman (Manitowish Waters, Wis./Lakeland Union HS) and Greta Jenkins (Palmer, Alaska/Colony HS) competed in the 20km senior race for the Saints. Dahlberg edged Jenkins by two seconds with a time of 1:12:44 to place 33rd overall. Jenkins finished in 1:12:46 and was 34th overall. Gilman posted a time of 1:16:05 and was 38th overall.
 
Dahlberg and Jenkins were sixth and seventh among Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) skiers. Gilman was 10th among conference skiers. Northern Michigan University's Vivian Hett led all CCSA skiers coming in 17th overall in a time of 1:05:17
 
Men
Tamer Mische-Richter (Bloomington, Minn./John F. Kennedy HS) and Jack Christianson (Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View HS) competed in the 30km senior race. Mische-Richter led the Saints with a 32nd place finish in a time of 1:29:00. He was the fourth-highest finisher among CCSA skiers.
 
Christianson was 45th overall with a time of 1:35:22. He was ninth among CCSA skiers. Ian Torchia of Northern Michigan led all CCSA skiers with a time of 1:22:22 and placing 12th overall.
 
Ryan Steger (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) also competed in the 10km junior division race. Steger was 84th overall with a finishing time of 31:35.
