DULUTH, Minn. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team lost 8-1 to Concordia College-Moorhead to open its season on Saturday at the Duluth Indoor Sports Center.
Doubles:
The Saints were swept in all three doubles matches by scores of 8-3, 8-3 and 8-4.
Singles:
The lone winner for the Saints would be freshman
Elliot Schneider (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) in his first collegiate match at the No. 2 spot by scores of 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.
Bryce Gadke (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield HS) also forced a tiebreaker in the first set of his match at the No. 3 spot, but was on the wrong end of a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 defeat. The Cobbers won the other four matches in straight sets.

The Saints are back at the Duluth Indoor Sports Center next weekend when it hosts Saint Mary's University on Saturday, beginning at 2 p.m.
