ISHPEMING, Mich. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's ski team completed its season on Sunday with the 10km classic race at the NCAA Central Region Championships at the Al Quaal Nordic Center.

Reitler Hodgert (Bend, Ore./Summit HS ) posted another top 10 finish among Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) skiers on Sunday, crossing the line seventh in a time of 27:34. Hodgert earns all-region accolades in both techniques for the second straight year. His finish today should be enough to earn him a spot at the NCAA Skiing Championships for the second straight season.
Ryan St. Clair (Bend, Ore./Summit HS (Walla Walla)) was the next CSS skier to finish in 12
th among CCSA competitors with a time of 28:36.
Isaac Wieber (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS) also scored the second straight day, coming across 15
th in a time of 29:34.
Freshman
Jack Christianson (Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View HS) was 16
th,
Dan DeLestry (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire Memorial HS) 17
th and in his final race as a Saint
Gerrit Garberich (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd HS ) was 18
th.
Chris Hecker (Ham Lake, Minn./Anoka HS ) and
Steven Mueggenberg (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS ) also wrapped their CSS skiing careers on Sunday.
The Saints finished third as a team on Sunday to finish third for the weekend. The third place finish was their best since finishing third in 2014. Northern Michigan University took the regional title with Michigan Tech University coming in second. Adam Martin led all CCSA skiers, finishing second overall in the SuperTour event with a time of 25:33.
