ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. (csssaints.com) - The St. Scholastica men's soccer team defeated Crown College 2-0 in a conference game at KleinBank Stadium Friday evening thanks to a pair of second half goals. The Saints have won 23 games straight against the Storm.

First Half
In the first half, both teams were evenly matched. Two minutes into the game, Juan Ochoa (Chihuahua, Mexico/Prepa Tec) got the first shot on goal for the Saints. Nine minutes later, Crown shot their only shot on goal of the half, but it was saved by CSS goalkeeper Sandy Davidson-Hunt (Kenora, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas).

This half would end with the score 0-0, with the Saints having five shots on goal during the first half, and the Storm only having shot one.

Second Half
Four minutes into the second, Luke Buckton (Bath, England/Writhlington School) had the first shot on goal, but it was saved by the Crown goalkeeper.

With 28 minutes to go left in the second, Buckton got the breakaway he needed, assisted by Armin Bobaric (Andover, Minn./Andover HS), to score for the Saints. Now up 1-0, the Saints seemed to gain momentum. With 15 minutes left to go, they scored again. Darby Henderson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) assisted to Noah Hooey (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) to strength the Saints lead 2-0.

The Storm changed goalies after this goal, but also effectively shut down the Saints as time ran out on the clock. CSS was unable to score again, and settled for the 2-0 win.

Henderson led the Saints with four shots on goal, while Ochoa had three. Buckton and Craig Chudley (Exeter, England/Exeter College) had two each. St. Scholastica goalkeeper Davidson-Hunt saved three shots. This is his fourth shut out of the year.
