St. Clair Leads Men's Skiing on Day One at Telemark




CABLE, Wis. (csssaints.com) – Ryan St. Clair (Bend, Ore./Summit HS (Walla Walla)) posted his first career top-10 finish as a Saint leading the St. Scholastica men's Nordic ski team to a second place finish on Saturday in the 10km classic race of the Telemark Chase.
 
The Action
St. Clair came across the line ninth overall and sixth among Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) skiers in a time of 32:53.
 
Reitler Hodgert (Bend, Ore./Summit HS ) was the next Saint to cross the finish line, placing 14th overall and ninth in the CCSA with a time of 33:16. The final Saint to score was Isaac Wieber (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS), who finished 23rd overall and 12th in the CCSA, who finished in 34:34. It was the first time for Wieber to score for the Saints.
 
Northern Michigan swept the top five CCSA spots with Adam Martin overall with a time of 30:24.
 
Up Next
The Saints will compete in the 20km freestyle tomorrow at the American Birkebeiner Trailhead in Cable, Wisconsin.
