csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team will have its home opener this weekend as it hosts the 2016 Advantage Emblem Cup at Saints Field. The Saints will face a pair of ranked opponents in No. 2 Loras College (Iowa) and No. 15 St. Olaf College.

Armin Bobaric (Andover, Minn./Andover HS) was named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Offensive Player of the Week on Monday … Bobaric recorded his first collegiate goal and added two assists in the 4-1 victory over Gustavus on Saturday.
Farrar Held in Check Early: Senior forward
Kyle Farrar (London, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) has one assist in the team's first two games, but has also been held to only two shots … Farrar, who became the program's first, First Team NSCAA All-American last season has averaged nearly four shots per game in his career … Farrar is only four points shy of tying
Tom Corcoran (Warrington, England/Great Sankey HS, Priestley College) for second on the school's all-time scoring list.
Rosato Stepping In: Freshman goalkeeper
Corrado Rosato (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) has played well in the team's first two games, stopping 16 shots, while allowing a goal per game … Rosato earned his first collegiate victory against Gustavus on Saturday.
Record vs. Ranked Teams: The Saints have never beaten a ranked team on Saints Field … The closest was a scoreless tie against No. 15 Carleton College during the 2013 season … CSS has defeated a ranked team in each of last two seasons, both on the road.

The Oles are coming off a "Sweet 16" appearance in last year's NCAA Tournament after winning the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Tournament just to qualify … St. Olaf is still searching for its first win of this season as it tied the University of Northwestern 1-1 in its season opener and fell to the University of Dubuque 3-0 the next day … The Oles had a game scheduled against Luther College (Iowa) on Tuesday, but it was canceled due to inclement weather … St. Olaf has been picked to finish second in the MIAC this season … Senior midfielder Aaron Miller started all 24 games a season ago, recording a pair of goals and two assists … The Oles also return a pair of senior defenders that allowed just 1.0 goal/game last season.
