csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team surrendered a goal in the 30
th minute and that was the difference in 1-0 season-opening loss to the Knox College (Ill.) on Friday at the Gustavus Classic.
The Prairie Fire's Kendall Davidson scored in the 30
th minute to give Knox a 1-0 lead. Knox had a slight-edge in shots after 45 minutes of play at 6-5.
The Saints would have a 6-5 edge in shots in the second half and had three corner kicks in the first 15 minutes of the half, but could not find the goal as Knox prevailed 1-0.
Freshman
Corrado Rosato (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) made his first collegiate start in his first collegiate game, replacing the injured
Sandy Davidson-Hunt (Kenora, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas). Rosato made eight saves in the loss.
Luke Buckton (Bath, England/Writhlington School) led the Saints with three shots.
