DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica men's soccer team dominated Northland College 11-0 on Tuesday at Saints Field in the first conference game of the season.

First Half
The Saints scored five goals in the first half, the first coming six minutes into the game. Luke Buckton (Bath, England/Writhlington School) scored his first goal of the season, with a shot on an open net from a clean pass from Armin Bobaric (Andover, Minn./Andover HS).

After Northland received a red card, CSS was given a penalty kick. Kyle Farrar (London, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) scored off of this attempt, bringing it to 2-0.

Goal three came from Darby Henderson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) 22 minutes into the game, with the assist from Jordan Lennon (London, England/Chadwell Heath Academy). Lennon scored his own goal five minutes later to make it 4-0.

With only two minutes left in the period, Farrar and Jonny Harkin (Birmingham, England/St. Benedicts School) assisted Jordi Puente (Mexico City, Mexico/Escuela Libre de Negocios) for his first career goal, bringing the score up to 5-0 to end the period.

St. Scholastica goalkeeper Corrado Rosato (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) faced no shots on goal during this half.

Second Half
To finish up the game, the Saints added onto their lead with six more goals. The first goal came within a minute of the first half starting, with a fast pass from Buckton to Harkin. Within the next 30 seconds, Harkin assisted Henderson to give the Saints another goal and 7-0 lead.

Buckton scored goal number eight for the Saints, with the assist coming from Henderson with a pass from the left side. Shawayne Folkes (Toronto, Ontario/Maxwell Heights) shot from the front of the net to score his second goal of the season, making the score 9-0.

Harkin then beat the keeper on a one-on-one for his second goal. And with only a minute left, Folkes received an assist from Harkin, scoring his second goal of the game to bring up the final score to 11-0.

Rosato faced only one shot on goal this period, saving it.

The Saints (2-3-0) will host the University of Northwestern on Saturday at Saints Field. Kickoff for the conference game is scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
