LA CROSSE, Wis. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica baseball team gave up nine runs in the first two innings on its way to a 14-4 loss against No. 18 UW-La Crosse Saturday afternoon.
La Crosse came out of the gate firing on all cylinders scorning four runs in the first inning and five in the second.
The Saints would attempt to mount a comeback, scoring a combined four runs in the second, third, and fourth innings, but that was all they could muster as the game lasted just seven innings.
In the end, La Crosse would tally 14 runs on 14 hits while CSS mustered four runs on eight hits.
Drew Colvard (Little Canada, Minn./Roseville HS ) led the way offensively for the Saints going 2-for-3 with an RBI double.
Austin Colvard (Little Canada, Minn./Roseville HS),
Steven Neutzling (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral ), and
Chris Olson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS ) also tallied RBIs for the Saints.
